Well its been a long time coming and our first film and photography project is finally here. We are excited to present Portrait of a Lady designed to inspire and challenge young women interested in redefining somali art through storytelling. The series is broken down into 3 parts consisting of Be Inspired, Create, and Let it be known. In “Inspire”  participants visit galleries, connect with other artists, and  start to develop their creative narrative. In “Create” participants plan and execute their own photo shoots and films. Lastly in “Let it be known” participants celebrate and showcase their work in an exhibit, making an imprint of their own in the art community.
